Dr. Mehmet Hakan BULAM's career as a medical doctor began in 2000 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English). After six years of medical education, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2006. In the same year, after succeeding in the Medical Specialization Exam, he started his residency at Gazi University Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. After six years of specialization training with leading Plastic Surgery professors in Turkey, he received the title of Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2012.

After completing his specialization, in 2013, he passed the written and oral international exams held in Helsinki and Brussels, and earned the title "Member of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialists" (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery - FEBOPRAS). He also holds the Professional Proficiency Diploma of the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

He is an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He is a full member of the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society.

In 2022, he obtained the International Health Tourism authorization certificate.
