Op. Dr. Mert Ersan was born in Izmir on August 11. He completed his primary education in Izmir and his high school education at Aydın Science High School. With a national ranking in the university entrance exam, he was admitted to Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of English Medicine, and graduated from medical school in 2014. After graduation, he worked as an emergency room physician at Izmir Kiraz State Hospital for 10 months. In August 2015, he was awarded the right to work as a research assistant at Ankara University Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. After spending nearly 6 years here, on 19.03.2021, with his thesis “The Effect of Taurine on Flap Perfusion and Viability in Axial and Random Pattern Flaps in Rats”, he earned the title of specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. After his specialty, he fulfilled his compulsory service by working for 2 years as a specialist in plastic surgery at Yozgat City Hospital.
