Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet KÜÇÜKÇELEBİ completed his high school education in 1972 at Ankara Science High School. In 1978, he graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.

Due to his interest in basic medical sciences, between 1979 and 1985, he worked as a Research Assistant at Wayne State University, School of Medicine, Department of Physiology, Detroit, Michigan, USA, where he also pursued his PhD studies in the same department. By passing the ECFMG and VQE exams, he received two years of clinical basic general surgery training as a research assistant in the Department of General Surgery at the same university. In 1985, by successfully passing the FLEX exam, he obtained his license to practice as a physician in the USA.

Returning to Turkey in 1988, Dr. KÜÇÜKÇELEBİ completed his residency in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1991.

Between 1991 and 1993, he continued his studies as a Research Assistant and Clinical Fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Plastic Surgery Clinic, and Shriners’ Burn Center, Galveston, Texas, USA.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet KÜÇÜKÇELEBİ has published more than 50 articles in local and international journals, and his articles published in international peer-reviewed journals have been cited over 900 times.

He is currently working at Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital.
