Associate Professor Dr. Barış Çakır, who was born in Adana in 1975, entered the Çukurova Faculty of Medicine in 1993 after graduating from Çukurova Electrical Anatolian Technical High School. During his technical high school education, he worked at "skill development workshops" for four years. For this reason, after completing medical school, he planned to choose a surgical branch where he could use this skill.

In 1999, he began his training in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Kartal Training and Research Hospital. He continued his studies in microsurgery, one of the most challenging branches of surgery. During his training at Kartal Training and Research Hospital, he performed close to 500 microsurgical operations. He worked on fingertip amputations in children.
