Liposuction Procedure Stages
Initial Examination and Diagnosis.
Direct initial examination with Dr. Ulker. The patient is given a full explanation of the areas from which liposuction is to be performed, the procedure's steps, and the expected results for the new appearance of the areas to be liposuctioned.
Identification of Liposuction Areas.
The doctor determines which areas need liposuction. The matter is also discussed with the patient if there are areas that do not need liposuction, or if the patient has already decided which areas to remove. Of course, here, the doctor's role is to advise the patient without interfering with the final decision. The procedure date is determined based on the doctor's availability and the patient's time.
Procedures and tests are performed on the same day of the procedure.
Examinations begin three hours before the procedure, and blood samples are taken to test hemoglobin and for contagious and infectious diseases.
The final report of the test results is presented to the anesthesiologist, who in turn gives his final report to Dr. ilker.
Preliminary approval is obtained from the anesthesiologist to begin the procedure.
The anesthesia phase and the doctor in charge.
An anesthesiologist performs the anesthesia procedures, and the anesthesia phase takes place directly in the operating room. There are no risks associated with anesthesia during liposuction due to the careful study of the patient's condition and their body composition. The medications the patient is using, if any, are also studied to avoid any complications during anesthesia.
The support team inside the operating room.
The main team inside the operating room consists of Dr. ilker, the surgeon, and his main assistant during the surgery.
They are also accompanied by a special nurse trained for such procedures.
The anesthesiologist and his assistant are also present throughout the procedure to monitor the patient's condition.
Duration of the procedure.
The duration of the procedure varies depending on the areas from which liposuction will be performed. For example, the hands and feet, each procedure lasts between one and a half to two hours.
The abdomen and back, however, last between two and a half to three hours. If other areas, such as the neck or hips, are involved, the total procedure can take from five and a half to six hours.

Liposuction using Vaser Hi-Def and J-Plasma technology for tightening sagging skin in Turkey - Istanbul by Dr. ilker ManavBaşı.
Liposuction is considered the ideal and almost the only solution for people looking to remove accumulated fat from all over the body.
There are no traditional solutions to remove it, such as diet or exercise. For these people, the solution is "body sculpting."
This involves liposuctioning these areas by doctors specializing in liposuction. Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
For those suffering from morbid obesity or those who desire to sculpt their bodies to the maximum extent, cosmetic surgery is most often used to remove excess fat.
The areas where fat accumulates most are the abdomen, buttocks, back, and arms.
These areas are among the areas of the body that store the most fat.
When do you need liposuction?
The primary goal of liposuction is to enhance the body.
Liposuction cannot be used as a general weight loss method or as a substitute for weight loss.
You may lose more weight through diet and exercise, or through bariatric procedures and programs, such as gastric bypass surgery, than you would with liposuction.
You may be a candidate for liposuction if you have a lot of body fat in certain areas, but your body weight remains stable.
People Eligible for Liposuction
Those who suffer from fat accumulation in specific areas of the body, but are not morbidly obese
Those who have not responded to diets or exercise
Those who are only 40% overweight, meaning they are not morbidly obese
The amount of fat removed from the body
Each area of the body has its own unique requirements.
The amount removed from the hands cannot be compared to the amount removed from the abdomen or back, nor is the case with the feet, but the total amount we can talk about ranges between 5 and 10 liters.
J Plasma technology for skin tightening after liposuction.
J Plasma
It is a device called J Plasma, an advanced device that uses cold helium plasma. Plasma is the fourth state of matter and is released into the ionized state of gas. The J Plasma device focuses helium plasma on radiofrequency energy for greater control when treating the skin and precisely affecting the tissue. Of course, each patient has their own pump.
We will explain the most important benefits of J Plasma, which are:
Skin rejuvenation.
Immediate skin tightening.
Reduces cellulite.
The J-Plasma device can be used on the neck to remove wrinkles.
Steps for Using the J-Plasma Device
The doctor makes small incisions to remove fat depending on the area of the body.
The fat is suctioned from the area to be treated, and the J-Plasma device is then used through the same incisions.
The skin is immediately tightened using the J-Plasma device after liposuction is completed.
Recovery and Hospital Stay
Recovery from anesthesia occurs immediately after the procedure is completed and during the transfer of the patient to their private room.
The recovery process is accompanied by some pain, which the patient feels immediately. However, the doctor immediately administers painkillers, and within minutes the patient begins to feel great relief.
The hospital stay does not exceed one day, during which the doctor monitors the patient's condition. Nurses also monitor the condition of the tubes inserted during the procedure, which remain in place for two to three days and are removed during the first check-up.
Medications and Post-Procedure Advice
The doctor will prescribe some medications, such as antibiotics and painkillers. It is also recommended to drink plenty of water. Blood-thinning medications should be avoided. A corset should be worn for 24 hours for six weeks after the procedure. Strenuous physical activity should be avoided for one month.
Final check-up with the doctor.
The final check-up with the doctor takes place one week after the procedure. The doctor will perform the final examinations and provide the patient with a final report on the condition and success rate of the procedure. The doctor will also write a detailed report for the patient, detailing their health status and the name of the doctor and the hospital where the procedure was performed.
Causes of bruising and swelling in the surgical area after liposuction
In general, swelling and bruising are the result of subcutaneous trauma caused by blood vessels and damage due to subcutaneous bleeding during the procedure.
This is unavoidable due to the trauma that causes bleeding and swelling.
Therefore, liposuction is more than an art and a science; the results depend largely on the surgeon's skill.
Temporary bruising, swelling, and numbness are common the first night after liposuction surgery and last for 12 to 24 days.
Some patients experience bruising after surgery, which may persist for several weeks after liposuction. However, in almost all cases, these bruises are harmless and not a cause for concern.
One Month After Vaser Liposuction
If you are still feeling a little tired during this time, don't worry, as it will take several weeks or months to feel better after surgery.
Pain is your ultimate guide, and any activity that causes discomfort and/or pain should be avoided throughout the healing process.
During this period, after liposuction, you may experience some temporary numbness, which will slowly return to normal sensitivity over time.
Some patients experience an "itch" when the nerves begin to "wake up." This itching is completely normal and often relieves it with over-the-counter antihistamines such as Benadryl or Claritin.
Over the course of a few months after your liposuction procedure, you'll notice a difference in your weight loss.
Benefits from Fat
This procedure isn't just about liposuction; it can also be injected into other areas for body contouring. The extracted fat is used for injection in several areas of the body, such as:
Fat injections in the buttocks
Fat injections in the breasts
Fat injections under the eyes
Fat injections to plump up the cheeks
Fat injections in the buttocks
