He was born in Ağrı in 1966. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at various schools in Ankara. In 1984, he entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. After graduating in 1990, he started his residency at Ankara Numune Hospital 1st Plastic Surgery Clinic the same year. In 1992, he married Aynur Tapmaz from the same clinic. In 1995, he worked for a short period at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. During this time, a daughter named Dilan Yağmur was born. In 1996, he completed his residency and was appointed as a Plastic Surgery Specialist at Gaziantep State Hospital. In 2000, he was assigned to İzmir Air Force Hospital to fulfill his military service. After serving 16 years at what is now called Dr. Ersin Aslan Gaziantep State Hospital, he resigned in 2012 and decided to work privately. He currently practices in his own clinic. Additionally, he accepts patients at Cyprus Central Hospital (Mağusa Medical Center) in Gazi Mağusa, Cyprus.
