I was born in Eskişehir. After graduating second in my class from Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School, I was admitted to Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2002, after becoming a dentist, I was accepted to the PhD program at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics. I completed my doctoral education in 2009 and became an orthodontist. In 2011, I was appointed as a lecturer at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2015, I received the title of associate professor. While continuing my academic career at Gazi University, in 2018-2019, I served as a visiting professor at the newly established Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Dentistry to support orthodontic specialization training. At the same time, I supported education as a thesis advisor at Gaziantep University Department of Orthodontics. In 2021, I became a professor at Gazi University.

Between 2018 and 2022, I served as the orthodontics editor of the Acta Odontologica Turcica journal. I am currently a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Orthodontic Rehabilitation. I have published 23 articles in international and 12 in national journals, and have presented more than 50 posters/oral presentations at international and national congresses and have been an invited speaker. I have also authored chapters in 10 prestigious international and national books.
I am currently treating patients at my private clinic in Bursa.
I have been working in the field of orthodontics for nearly 20 years. My special clinical interests are the early treatment of jaw disorders, orthodontic treatments and surgical planning for patients needing jaw surgery, treatments with clear aligners, adult orthodontic treatments, patients with snoring and sleep apnea, and teeth whitening.
