1. Role Overview
Mazad app is a rapidly growing e-commerce ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa region, combining B2B, B2C, and C2C (auctions) in addition to cross-border trade.
The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy, driving user growth, increasing sales value, boosting brand strength in each country, and managing marketing teams in various markets.
Must possess strong experience in digital marketing, growth management, brand building, and data-driven analytics, with the ability to lead multi-country teams (Iraq, Turkey, Syria, the Gulf, North Africa).
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Marketing Strategy and Growth
Develop the comprehensive marketing strategy for Mazad and all its departments (B2C, B2B, auctions, influencers, Mazad Pay, Mazad Plus & Premium).
Build marketing funnels leading to 50,000–100,000 monthly downloads per country.
Lead the full user lifecycle from awareness → acquisition → activation → retention → referral.
Manage campaign budgets across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google, influencers, and traditional advertising.
Lead launch campaigns for each new country (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Algeria…).
B. Brand Management
Build Mazad's brand as the largest unified platform in the Middle East.
Unify visual identity, content tone, and marketing offers across all markets.
Oversee production of creative content: videos, motion graphics, reels, landing pages, and outdoor designs.
C. Digital and Performance Marketing
Manage and optimize advertising campaigns across all platforms.
Implement A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, retargeting, and attribution models.
Build dashboards to track CAC, LTV, ROI, ROAS, and growth indices.
D. Product Marketing
Collaborate with product and tech teams to improve user experience and launch new features.
Lead launch plans for all new units: auctions, wallet, influencer marketplace, seller tools.
Prepare marketing messaging, pricing, and positioning for each product.
E. Seller and Influencer Acquisition
Develop influencer attraction programs across all regional countries.
Support seller acquisition strategies for B2B, B2C, and C2C.
Build partnerships with wholesalers, factories, shipping companies, and payment systems.
F. Leadership and Team Building
Establish and manage a multi-country marketing team (marketing managers, designers, videographers, performance specialists, community management).
Train and mentor teams to achieve goals.
Work directly with country managers to fine-tune and localize campaigns.
G. Market Intelligence and Analytics
Study competitors (Trendyol, Temu, Miswag, Noon, Amazon).
Analyze user behavior, market trends, price sensitivity, and data for each country.
Turn data into effective marketing decisions.
H. Budget and Financial Responsibilities
Manage marketing budget across all markets.
Ensure maximum return on investment.
Provide regular reports to the CEO and board.
3. Required Qualifications
Minimum
8+ years of leadership experience in marketing roles, preferably in e-commerce, digital markets, fintech, or apps.
Proven experience in increasing app downloads to 100k – 1 million downloads.
Deep knowledge of consumer behavior in the Middle East.
Advanced expertise in digital advertising, analytics, and brand building.
Ability to work in a fast-growing environment.
Preferred
Previous experience with auction, C2C, or B2B platforms.
Experience marketing digital wallets or financial services.
Experience launching products across multiple countries simultaneously.
Knowledge of Turkish language.

Growth in number of sellers and influencers.
