Dr. Nesrin Gümüş Öztürkmen was born in 1982 in Gaziantep. She started her education at Gaziantep Mehmetçik Primary School and successfully completed her middle and high school education respectively at Gaziantep Anatolian High School and Gaziantep College Foundation High School. During high school, she participated in a cultural exchange program run by the Lisle Education Foundation in Seattle, USA, with a high-achievement scholarship, where she improved her English language skills.
