Prof. Dr. Mehmet Veli KARAALTIN was born in Kirkuk, Iraq. He completed his primary and secondary education at Klondike Elementary School, and his high school education at Al-Sharkiye High School (Mosul-Iraq). He began his medical education at Istanbul University's English Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and completed it in 1997, receiving the title of medical doctor. Between 1998 and 2004, he completed his specialization in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, thus becoming a Specialist in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
