After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2004, she continued her doctoral education in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at the same university. She completed her doctoral studies with her thesis titled "Examination of the Long-Term Clinical Success of Anterior Bridge Restorations Made with the Lava Zirconia System and Different Surface Preparations" and obtained the title of Dr. Med. Dent. During her six-year doctoral education, which she completed in 2010, she took part in theoretical and practical studies on prosthetic dental treatments and implant-supported prostheses in aesthetic dentistry. She has a total of 12 scientific publications—8 international and 4 national—and 6 scientific posters presented abroad, prepared on zirconium porcelains, all-ceramic restorations, teeth whitening, and removable dentures.

Between 2010 and 2017, she worked at Anadolu Health Center Gebze clinics. She currently practices dentistry professionally at the clinic she founded in 2017.

Dr. Burcu Buğurman Yalım, who is married and the mother of a daughter, has professional interests in Aesthetic Dentistry, Implant-Supported Prostheses, Smile Design, Full Porcelain Restorations, Zirconium Restorations, Porcelain Laminate Restorations, and Adhesive Composite Laminate applications.
