Born on 13.11.1974 in Manisa-Akhisar as the second child of a family with three children, he began his education at Misak-ı Milli Primary School and completed his secondary/high school education at Izmir Private Turkish College.

After completing university at Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, he went to Diyarbakır in 1999 for his doctoral education, in line with the saying, "the light rises from the east." In 2004, he received the title of "Doctor of Orthodontics" from Dicle University Institute of Health Sciences.

After receiving the title of Assistant Professor Dr. at Dicle University in 2006, he accelerated his scientific studies.

On January 20, 2009, he became an "Associate Professor" in the field of Orthodontics by taking the exam before the jury determined by the Interuniversity Council (ÜAK).

Between February 22, 1999 and July 19, 2012, for 13.5 years, he traveled the Eastern and Southeastern provinces, enjoying their beauties and took pride in serving as a guide to his guests.

On July 19, 2012, he started his position at Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Dentistry in Aydın as Vice Dean.

After receiving the title of Professor on April 14, 2014, he was appointed as the Founding Dean of Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Dentistry on December 19, 2014. The first graduates from the faculty, which began accepting dentistry students in undergraduate education in September 2014, graduated in 2019. In 2015, graduate education commenced in all main departments. During his deanship, the Faculty of Dentistry provided oral and dental health treatments not only for Aydın province but also for many patients from Muğla, Denizli, and even İzmir. The faculty has an inpatient clinic and operating theater, which is proudly the only one in the Aegean region. Thanks to this operating room, which is vital for patients who have a fear of dentists and mentally disabled patients, major jaw surgeries have become possible. Through the "Journey to Kuşadası for Dental Health" project he led, he received a grant from the South Aegean Development Agency and made his faculty the first public institution in Turkey to engage in Dental Tourism in the field of dentistry.

From February 2015 to January 2019, he served as vice rector at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. During this period, he also served as Director of Adnan Menderes University Continuous Education Center (ADÜSEM). During his directorship, through protocols signed by ADÜSEM with the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the issuance of various certificates and authorization documents on behalf of these ministries was ensured.

From September 22, 2020, he started working as the Head of the Department of Orthodontics at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Dentistry.

His academic interests are cone-beam computed tomography in orthodontics, digital orthodontics, adult orthodontics, and orthodontic treatments with clear aligners.

He is married to Prof. Dr. Senem YİĞİT ÖZER, an endodontist and dentist like himself, and they have a son named Törem from their happy marriage.
