
Specialist Dr. Özgür GÖZLÜKLÜ completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul. He graduated with honors from Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Dentistry, which he entered in 2007, in 2012. In the same year, he started working as a resident in the faculty’s oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgery clinic. In 2013, he was entitled to be appointed as a research assistant in the Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery at Izmir Katip Çelebi University. During his specialization training, he received rotational education in emergency medicine, anesthesiology and reanimation, ear nose and throat, and plastic and reconstructive surgery clinics, and participated in surgeries. He successfully completed his specialization education in 2017 with his thesis titled “Comparison of the effects of two different kinesiotape techniques on pain, edema, and trismus after bilateral impacted mandibular third molar surgery,” and received the title of specialist in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery. He has many oral and written presentations published at national and international congresses, meetings, and symposiums, as well as articles in internationally refereed journals. Reconstruction of inadequate jawbones and their treatment with implants are at the forefront of his interests. In addition to jaw aesthetics and advanced implant operations, he routinely performs classical maxillofacial surgery procedures such as impacted tooth extractions, oral region cysts, and gingival surgeries. Additionally, temporomandibular joint (jaw joint) disorders and bruxism (teeth grinding) treatment are also among his areas of work.
