To a patient who wants an aesthetic intervention for their body, I first ask the question, "What can I do for you?" The patient either describes the condition that they are dissatisfied with, or asks, "Where do you think I need aesthetic work?" What is important here is which part of the patient's body they are not at peace with. The patient might have prominent ears or a slightly humped nose, but has no complaints about these. Performing prominent ear surgery or directing the patient towards nose surgery in such a case is something we aesthetic surgeons do not prefer.

We try to help the patient become fond of the organs they are not at peace with. The only criteria for surgical success is whether the patient is satisfied with the result. Patient satisfaction is linked to our understanding of the patient before the surgery. Understanding the patient, giving them time, making them feel special, and performing the correct surgery for the right patients is my aesthetic philosophy.
