Born in Amasya in 1968. After graduating from Merzifon Karamustafa Paşa Primary School and Istanbul Haznedar Middle School, he completed his high school education at Ankara 50th Year High School as the top student. He studied medicine at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1985 and 1991 and received his specialization from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology in 1996. During his years working especially as a Radiation Oncology specialist, he observed that cancer patients suffered greatly during painful periods. With the aim of both increasing the effectiveness of treatment and ensuring a better quality of life during this process, he observed that acupuncture, as a complementary treatment method alongside classical medical approaches, was used widely in these patients.
