He was born in Ankara on April 11, 1967. He completed his middle and high school education at Galatasaray High School and his graduate studies at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, where he received the title of Medical Doctor. He completed his specialty training, which he started at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, in 2000.
He worked as a lecturer in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University and was particularly interested in Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery. In 2004-2005, he served as a "research fellow" at the University of Pittsburgh Plastic Surgery Research Center in the United States for one year. During this period, he conducted research on the use of stem cells derived from adipose tissue in bone and soft tissue engineering, as well as the immunoregulatory effects of bone marrow stem cells in composite tissue transplantation and the achievement of immunotolerance. Subsequently, in 2010, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and Professor in 2018. He continued his work as a faculty member in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University and as Head of the Hand Surgery Division.
