Dr. Tansu Erakman, who completed his second doctorate at Başkent University in Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery, also holds a specialization and doctorate from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Prosthetic Dental Treatment. Because he holds an academic title in both the Jaw Surgery and Prosthetics departments, he has developed himself in implant surgery and zirconium porcelain superstructures. He is also a practitioner and instructor of implant surgery for patients with advanced bone deficiencies, bone grafting, and especially the 'immediate implant' technique in which the tooth is extracted and the implant is placed at the same time. He also has studies in the field of surgery of wisdom teeth that are impacted close to the nerve. He has attended domestic and international congresses as a speaker and instructor. He has a doctoral thesis study related to 'dental anxiety', also known as 'fear of the dentist'. He has publications in domestic and international academic journals. He has taken part in many projects on TV programs and social media to raise public awareness.
