I was born in Mardin in 1958. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in Istanbul (Hekimoğlu Ali Paşa Primary School and Şehremini High School). After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, I worked at Sivas Şerefiye and Zara health centers respectively, due to compulsory service. In 1984, I was appointed as the government physician in Üsküdar. In 1985, I started my specialty in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. I completed my specialty in 1989 with a thesis on the role of anaerobic bacteria in chronic sinusitis. I completed my military service at Ardahan Military Hospital. In 1991, I worked as an ENT specialist at Istanbul Kartal SSK Hospital. During this time, I was an observer physician at the Mc Coulloug Facial Aesthetic Center in America. I retired from this hospital, which later became Kartal Yavuz Selim Hospital, in 2011. I am currently working in my own office. At the same time, I am a founding faculty member of Okan University Department of Audiology. My position at the university is still ongoing.
