Merve Baş grew up admiring the miracles created by medicine and her family as the first child of a doctor father and a mother who is a medical technologist. She was born on October 29, 1990, in Şanlıurfa. Her great interest in art, design, and aesthetics led her to dentistry, an area where she could keep this interest alive within the field of health. Aware that becoming a good physician requires proficiency both in theory and practice, she guided her academic life accordingly. She started her student life in 2009 at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry. She received one year of English preparatory education and two years of basic medical sciences at this faculty. After two years, during which she had the opportunity to meet dental authorities in Turkey and learn from them, she was accepted into Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry with her high grade point average. She learned at this great institution how to perform well in dental practice, even with limited resources.
