Onur Selçuk, born in Istanbul in 1975, began his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 1994. After graduating in 1999, he was accepted into the doctoral program at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.

In 2006, he received his 'Ph.D.' title by completing his doctoral thesis titled 'Investigation of the mathematical function that best reflects the shapes of dental arches in adults with normal occlusion and the development of computer software that allows the individual drawing of dental arch shape.'
