I was born on October 21, 1985, in Kayseri. I completed my education at Kayseri Science High School, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English Program), and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. After working for two years at Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital as a mandatory service physician, I served as a plastic surgery specialist at the former Haydarpaşa GATA, now known as Haydarpaşa Sultan Abdülhamid Han Training and Research Hospital. I am currently continuing my academic career as an assistant professor at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Health Sciences.
Since 2020, I have been married to my colleague, psychiatry specialist Dr. Gözde Hanım. I am fluent in English and German.
As a plastic surgery resident, I achieved national first place at the national basic residency school and advanced residency school. In 2017, with my team, we won the jury special award with our biomechanical hand splint project at the ING Bank Hackathon marathon. In 2018, I received second place in the assistant oral presentation competition held at the national congress of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. In 2019, I won the innovative surgeon of the year award at the DoctorClub Awards, Doctor of the Year Awards.
I ranked first in the written and oral exams held by my professional organization, the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, earning the National Competency Certificate. I also successfully passed the exams conducted by the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes in Brussels and Izmir, earning the European Plastic Surgery Competency Certificate. As someone who believes in the power of interdisciplinary studies, I strive to improve myself not only in surgical sciences but also in basic medical sciences, engineering, and social sciences, focusing my studies on tissue production technologies.
