Dr. Taylan Akça was born in Trabzon in 1980. He graduated from Trabzon Anatolian High School in 1998 and from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2004. After graduation, he started his specialty training at Başkent University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2007, after completing his rotations in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Plastic Surgery at Başkent University Hospital, he presented his doctoral thesis entitled “Efficacy of Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Oral Tissues of Patients with Chronic Renal Failure” and completed his training in 2009, earning the titles of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist and science doctor. He completed his military service in 2010 as an Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist at Diyarbakır Military Hospital.
