He was born in Isparta in 1965. He completed his primary and secondary education in Isparta. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1983 and from GATA Faculty of Medicine in 1989. He received his specialty training in the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hacettepe University between 1991 and 1997. Between 1998 and 2000, while working as a specialist doctor at Ankara Dışkapı SSK Training and Research Hospital, he also provided services in his private clinic. In 2000, he founded the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Süleyman Demirel University. Between 2000 and 2003, he worked on craniofacial surgery and functional muscle transfer for facial paralysis at the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Children's Hospital and the University of Michigan. Apart from 2011, when he was a clinical chief at Antalya Training and Research Hospital, he worked as a faculty member at SDU Faculty of Medicine for 21 years and served as the Head of Department. He played a major role in making the Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine Plastic Surgery Clinic a reference center serving the entire Western Mediterranean region, including Antalya. Professor M. Asım Aydın has been continuing to provide services in his private clinic since December 2022. Having spent his entire career as an instructor in clinics that provide specialty training, Dr. Aydın has extensive experience in all areas of Plastic Surgery.
