I attended primary school at Bursa Özel İnal Ertekin Kindergarten and Primary School, and studied at Istanbul American Robert College for middle and high school. After completing my 5-year education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry and earning my dentist diploma, I graduated from the 5-year doctorate-specialty program at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics with the presentation of my thesis, 'Evaluation of Histological and Histomorphometric Changes in the Pulp Observed After Rapid Palatal Expansion' (July 1998). Between 2001-2016, I worked at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics. In 2002, I received the title of Assistant Professor Dr., in 2006 Associate Professor, and in 2014 Professor. Since 2017, I have worked at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics, and since 2018, I have been the head of the same department. I retired in 2022 and opened my own clinic in Kadıköy Caddebostan. I continue my academic life at Istanbul Health and Technology University. I am married and have three children (two girls and one boy).
