Obesity surgery

In 1982, he graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and earned the title of Medical Doctor.

Between 1986 and 1992, during his assistantship training at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, he participated in all clinical studies and experimental research. He was particularly interested in reconstructive microsurgery, flap surgery (free flaps), extremity surgery, and aesthetic surgery, which were developing worldwide at the time.

By submitting his thesis on experimental microsurgery, he became a Specialist in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery on 16.06.1992.

He was invited by Prof. Bernard McC O’Brien to Melbourne, Australia to conduct an experimental research project, but he could not go. Instead, he took part in the establishment of the Department of Hand Surgery at his home clinic and started working there as a specialist.
