• In 2004, he was accepted into the fellowship position at the Micro Surgery Unit of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Department of Plastic Surgery and worked there for two years.

• Between 2004-2006, he carried out numerous experimental and cadaver studies, especially related to face transplantation. He has over 20 articles and book chapters on this subject.

• In 2007, he received the title of associate professor at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Istanbul Bilim University Faculty of Medicine.

• In 2007, he passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery examination (EBOPRAS).

• In 2005, he obtained the ECFMG (United States Medical License Certification).

• Since 2006, he has held an Unrestricted State License in the USA (USMLE STEP).
