Dr. Kelahmetoğlu, who was born in Adana, graduated from Adana Boys' High School in 1999 and Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. In 2005, he started working as a Research Assistant Doctor at the Department of Plastic Surgery at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University. After completing his residency, he served as a plastic surgeon at Tarsus State Hospital between March 2012 and December 2014 as part of his compulsory service. During his residency, he worked as a clinical fellow focusing on "Aesthetic Surgery and Body Contouring" at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery Center in Texas, United States. He also served as a clinical observer on "Post-bariatric body contouring surgery" at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania, United States. In 2015, he won the international scholarship award of the Turkish Reconstructive Microsurgery Association and worked as a clinical fellow on "Aesthetic-Reconstructive Breast Surgery and Perforator Flaps" at Ghent University in Ghent, Belgium for three months. In 2016, he received the "Young Plastic Surgeons" scholarship awarded by the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS), and in 2017, he worked as a clinical fellow in "Reconstructive Breast Surgery" at the University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2018. To date, he has published more than 40 scientific articles nationally and internationally. He is married and has one child.
