Job Description:
Contribute to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily transport and delivery operations by performing tasks related to receiving parcels from clients, safely loading them into vehicles, transporting and unloading them at warehouses, and delivering within the specified timeframe, while adhering to standards of quality and accuracy in customer service to ensure that shipments reach clients in excellent condition and on time, achieving high operational efficiency in transport and delivery operations, and full compliance with Turkish traffic laws and the company’s safety policies.
Legal Requirements and Necessary Personal and Behavioral Skills:
The applicant must be a holder of Turkish nationality exclusively.
Excellent command of the Turkish language.
Possession of a valid Turkish driving license "A".
At least 2 years of experience driving vehicles intended for shipping and distribution.
Possession of SRC 2 and SRC 4 certificates.
Possession of a PSİKOTEKNİK certificate.
Good familiarity with transport areas within Istanbul.
Very good knowledge of safety procedures and Turkish traffic laws.
Preference for those with previous experience in the shipping and logistics sector.
Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions or emergency delivery schedules.
Commitment and high discipline in attendance times.
Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize.
Demonstrate patience and tact when dealing with customers and colleagues.
High level of responsibility and honesty in dealing with parcels and cash amounts.
Accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing documents or inspecting parcels.
Commitment to company standards and the culture of safety and quality.
Required Tasks:
Receiving parcels from clients’ locations according to the precisely scheduled timetable to ensure the process runs optimally.
Carefully loading parcels onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring they are securely fastened during transit.
Packing and protecting the contents of shipments upon their receipt from the customer to preserve their quality and safety.
Delivering parcels to the warehouse within the required timeframe, adhering to the highest standards of accuracy.
Setting delivery priorities according to pre-scheduled appointments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Selecting daily traffic routes to achieve optimal efficiency in delivery and pickup operations.
Promptly and accurately recording the details of parcels received from clients using company-approved tools and systems, ensuring smooth and reliable documentation of pickup operations.
Reporting any delays or operational challenges promptly to the drivers’ manager or their delegate.
Inspecting parcels to ensure they are free from damage or illegal materials upon receipt.
Dealing with clients positively, with the highest levels of respect and professionalism.
Documenting any discrepancies or issues related to packaging or delivery to ensure continuous improvement.
Conducting a comprehensive vehicle inspection before use to ensure full readiness.
Promptly reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs of the vehicle.
Full commitment to traffic laws and the company’s safety policies.
Staying updated with the latest regulations regarding hazardous and prohibited materials, and handling them safely and professionally.
Offering constructive suggestions to management to improve the quality and efficiency of operations.
Full cooperation with warehouse staff to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of parcels.
Coordinating with the sales, logistics, and warehouse supervisors to achieve the highest levels of coordination and smooth operations.
Receiving cash amounts from clients and delivering them to the accounts department on the specified dates.
Using the company’s application to record pickup and delivery times, with notes and photos added when needed.
Continuous coordination with the drivers’ manager or their delegate when facing traffic congestion or emergencies to ensure timely rescheduling and updating clients as required.
Full commitment to uniform, personal hygiene, and vehicle cleanliness, reflecting a professional and reputable image of the company to clients and partners.
Maintaining the confidentiality of client data and parcel contents, and not sharing them with any external parties under any circumstances.
Ensuring parcels comply with authorized weight and size standards, and not exceeding vehicle load limits to maintain safety.
Documenting client feedback, both positive and negative, and referring it immediately to management to support service improvement plans and enhance customer satisfaction.
Ensuring communication means remain effective and open during work hours to receive immediate instructions or updates related to routes and tasks.
