Compact Stone Separator (Combinator)

Two classifying function in a one compact machine.

The concept of behinde the Technomill Integrated Sorter is to unite two classifying functions in one machine. It functions as a concentrator for classifying grain according to specific gravity and as separating of stone. Combining separation of low-density product and stone removal in one compact housing which is reduces the space requirement to a minmimum.

The material arriving at a regular rate is spread by a feeding gate across the entire width of the screen. In the screenin zone, a current of air passes throught the material from bottom to top. The supporting layer of air causes the material to be stratified according to its specific gravity. In the second zone the heaviest material which includes stones throughout the large screen perforations directliy onto the destoning screen.

The mixed fraction is fed directly to the outlet. Thanks to this arrangement, the workload on the destoner is considarebly reduced by appropriate selection of the gate position it is possible to control the volume of the mixed fraction whithout affecting the classifying and destoning action.
