Born in 1969, Dr. Gürsel Turgut graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. Between 1992 and 1994, he worked as the responsible team doctor for Galatasaray Sports Club's football team. He resigned from his short internship at E.U. Sports Medicine and completed his specialization in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Şişli Etfal Hospital, Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in 2000. He received the title of associate professor in the same field in 2010 and the title of professor in 2015.
